About Jeffrey_K_Fisher
|
Jeff Fisher is a professional Artist /Illustrator who has worked in the field for over twenty-five years. Jeff ’s work has been shown in galleries in New York City, Long Island, and Washington, D.C. An award winning artist he has displayed his work in one man as well as group shows. His work has graced the covers of books and magazines, as well as posters, murals and advertisements.
Jeff was destined to be in the visual arts from a young age. Always drawing and painting. After the use of tons of paper, paint, pencils, and pens Jeff went on to art school. While there he started working freelance for several small book companies and tee shirt designers. He has had his work published since he was nineteen years old.
His education was completed at Parson’s School of Design. He has sat on panels, taught and lectured at schools and colleges around New York. The list of his clients include Readers Digest, Doubleday, Harper Collins, The Smithsonian, Newsday, to name a few.
Jeff Fisher has drawn or painted a vast array of subjects ranging from courtroom cases, fashion illustrations, science fiction, childrens books, to advertising and institutional images. He is currently working on a graphic novel with award winning mystery writer Reed Farrel Coleman.
Jeff also has ongoing workshops at “The Drawing Studio” in Smithtown. He is in the process of developing several mural projects in that studio. Jeff is an Artist Member of The Society of Illustrators located in New York City. He’s Chairman of “The Members Show” which annually showcases the work of the Societies Professional members, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for that organization.
